Karl Auer

With his passion and appreciation for creative living, Vienna-born interior designer Karl Auer has been a key player in TEAM 7‘s development into an ecological furniture pioneer and a leading design brand. While working as head designer for the natural wood furniture manufacturer, he has created many living ranges, some of which continue to form part of the collection even today. With „Opus 1" in the 1980s, it was Karl Auer who lay the foundations for furniture production which combines human and natural influences. Top priority was to manufacture natural furniture for all aspects of life – not simply ergonomic furniture for health purposes, but also ecological furniture which appeals to all senses. Auer‘s designs have always been about authenticity and sensual aesthetics. The deliberate avoidance of any form of paint or varnish means the wood keeps its beautiful natural qualities without compromising on beauty and comfort.
